A whole world on one table.

Little Lands Railway is a model railway game in HO scale. A steam engine, its tender and three coaches run round a layout in a 1985 basement den. Every foot the train runs pays, and you spend it on track, turnouts and scenery. Raise hills, plant farms and woods, open up more of the table, and keep the train running through all of it.

First look

All aboard

The steam engine and its coaches come round a bend between the trees

01

Keep it running

Take the throttle, sound the whistle and set the points. Watch from above the table or ride along in the chase, trackside and cab views. Every foot the train runs earns money, at any speed and in either direction.

02

Lay your own line

Curves, flex track, turnouts, crossings and buffer stops. Draft a plan, then lay it. Embankments, cuttings, bridges and tunnels build themselves wherever the line needs them.

Seen from above, the train runs between fields, a farm shed and woods

03

Shape the land

Raise hills, dig valleys and choose a biome for every plot of the table. Then dress it from the shelves: trees, farms, buildings and water.

04

Grow the table

Start on one end of the table and open the rest as your railway grows. When the hobby room is full, the garage is waiting with a bigger table.
